International Organizing Committee

The G-20Y initiatives are organized by the "G-20Y Summit International Organizing Committee" (the IOC), a non-governmental organization. The functions of the IOC are carried out by separate dedicated entities:

The Chair of the IOC provides the overall impetus for the organization and coordinates the work of the IOC in all of the G-20 countries. The Chair has authority to sign all G-20Y Summit IOC official documents.

The Board of the IOC Business Assembly gathers together the most active members of the IOC for the organization of the G-20Y Summit every year. It is responsible for the organization, administration and promotion of the annual G-20Y Summit.

The Business Assembly of the IOC is an advisory body to the Chair. It comprises successful young business leaders representing various G-20 countries. It assists the Chair in the organization of the G-20Y Summit IOC activities and in the promotion of G-20Y Summit initiatives and values among businessmen and women, governments, press in the respective countries of its members. Business Assembly members are in charge of constituting the national delegation of their respective country.

The G-20Y Summit Advisory Board gathers together internationally-renowned personalities from the world's top economic institutions and universities. It actively participates in the creation of the agenda for each G-20Y Summit. It harnesses the achievements, expertise and experience of its members to provide advice for the further development of the IOC.

Ksenia Khoruzhnikova

International Monetary Fund and World Bank "Leaders of Tomorrow" Program Fellow

     Ksenia is a Fellow of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank "Leaders of Tomorrow" Program. She is now in charge of the G-20Y Summit International Organizing Committee (NGO) that brings together every year young business and financial leaders (25-45 years old) for the G-20Y Summit.
     For the last 7 years, Ksenia has been the President of the International Youth Diplomacy League NGO. Back in 2005, she established the G8 Youth Summit for students and chaired the organizational committee of the first G8 Youth Summit in Saint-Petersburg in 2006, as well as co-organized the following Summits in Berlin in 2007, in Tokyo in 2008, in Milan in 2009, in Vancouver in 2010 and in Paris in 2011. During this time she gained invaluable international experience regarding global emerging political and economical issues as well as intercultural and management skills.
     Ksenia is the owner of several companies providing different professional services on an international scale. In 2010 Ksenia co-founded the "Talleyrand-Gorchakov Program" which is a two week session for political leaders in Paris (one week) and in Moscow (second week) and offers daily meetings with top level politicians of France and Russia. In 2011 Ksenia co-founded the New York Summer School which is a summer session program for young leaders that takes place in New York City and offers daily lectures with leading representatives of international institutions, politicians and chief executives.
     She holds a masters degree from the School of International Relations, Saint-Petersburg State University and is now preparing her PhD dissertation, which aims at redefining the role of the G-20 in global affairs.
     Ksenia resides in Paris, Saint Petersburg, Moscow, London, and New York.

Victor Philippenko

     Victor Philippenko is a passionate entrepreneur, business consultant and venture capitalist. At the time, he actively manages several start-ups in the fields of clean-tech, internet and photonics. Further, he is a member of the supervisory board of European Technologies Holding AG, a venture capital fund focusing on technology sector investments with headquarters in Frankfurt am Main.
     As a consultant, Mr. Philippenko advises governments and companies on issues of technological innovation, such as planning and build-up of innovation infrastructure for start-ups, arrangement of financing for high-tech companies, and their organization in clusters around respective innovation centers.
     His previous roles range from the CEO position with a research and development company in the area of renewable energy to consulting engagements with clients across the world with a Frankfurt-based legal consulting practice for family offices.
     Mr.Philippenko studied Economics at the J.W.Goethe University and Business Law at the University of Applied Sciences Frankfurt am Main, where Mr.Philippenko currently serves as a teaching assistant for Prof. Dr. Christian Rieck, Chair of Finance.
     Victor Philippenko lives in Frankfurt am Main, Germany and speaks German, English and Russian.


Jean-Luc Larribau

     Jean-Luc is a lawyer (Avocat a la Cour) in Paris and works in a major international law firm.
     In addition to his degrees in English and in French law from King's College in London and Pantheon-Sorbonne University in Paris, he holds a masters degree from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris.
     A skilled and active member in his business community, he participated in the G-20Y Summit in Toronto where he proved to be a leading mind. He is now President of the French Organizing Committee, sharing responsibility for the organization of the 2011 G-20Y Summit in Paris.

Vadim Belikov

     Vadim Belikov is a CEO of Development company in real estate, in Saint-Petersburg. For the past 15 year Vadim worked in development business and contributed to non-profit international projects.
     In addition to his degree in French University College in Saint-Petersburg , he is receiving masters degree from the School of International Relations in Northwestern Academy of Governance.
     He is now Vice-President of the Board of the Business Assembly of the G-20Y Summit IOC (NGO) and Vice-President of the International Youth Diplomacy League (NGO).

Rodrigo Aguilar Benignos

G-20Y Summit Executive Committee Member

     Rodrigo has a Masters Degree from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences on Politics of the World Economy and a B.A. Major from ITESM on International Business. His chief interest is International Political Economy and Mexican Domestic Politics. Awarded by the Center of Mexican Studies at Oxford University, England, he worked as research assistant at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies at Stanford University, CA, USA. He had worked in the Mexican public sector and private sector for more than 10 years. He is founder and member of Calidad Democratica Centro de Estudios e Investigacion A.C. and special correspondent for Latin America for the London-based Foundation “City Mayors” and “World Mayor Award”. As a Political Analyst he had opinioned in prestigious International and Mexican Media and Colleges and Universities in the U.S. and Mexico.
     Since 2007 he lives in Washington, D.C. where he is co-founder and CEO of Aguilar Kubli y Asociados an International Consulting Firm with offices in Guadalajara, Mexico and Washington, D.C. U.S. that helps to strengthen democracy around the world by helping state and non-state actors in Mexico, U.S. and Brazil acquire the tools they need to apply democratic ideals in an effective way.


Emilio Azcarraga Jean

     Mr. Emilio Fernando Azcarraga Jean has been the President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Grupo Televisa S.A. - the largest Spanish-speaking media corporation in the world - and presides over the Board of EVAC, since March 1997. Emilio served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Univision Communications Inc. from January 2002 to May 2005. He has been a Director of Grupo Televisa S.A., since December 1990. He is the Statutory Director of Grupo Financiero Banamex-Accival and the Director of Banco Nacional de Mexico, and Univision Communications Inc. He served as a Member of the Boards of Telefonos de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. and as President of the Ibero-American Television Organization (OTI) since 2000.
     Emilio is one of the most influential entrepreneurs in Latin America. He is a member of the Consejo Mexicano de Hombres de Negocios, Grupo Financiero Banamex, S.A. de C.V., Grupo AXO, Univision, Grupo Ciudad de Mexico,
Grupo CIE, Grupo Iusacell and Endeavor, and heads different social responsability organizations such as Fundación Televisa, Teleton, and Fundacion ABC.
      He received in 2006 an honorific MBA from the Empresa Business School, for his innovative role in the restructuration and internationalization of the company. Emilio studied Industrial Relations at the Iberoamerican University, and Marketing and Business Administration at the IPADE (Mexico).


Gaston Tadeo Melo Medina

     Gaston has dedicated his professional life to the world of communications. As Producer and Director, he won cinematographic awards for the movie "Talpa", adapting Juan Rulfo's masterpiece, and for television documentaries on ethnology, archeology and scientific investigation. As a Social Engineer, he created and produced: "Cumbre Tajin", a cultural initiative seeking to promote the linkages between high (ethnicities) and low (urban populations) identities; and "Espacio de Vinculacion, A.C."
     The youth perspective on the global agenda, an important platform of liaison amongst universities and the private sector, with networks present in more than 10 countries in Ibero-America. Vice-president of Grupo Televisa until 2001, he has been ever since, Advisor to President Emilio Azcarraga. He presides over the Administration Board of Comunicacion Sistemica. Gaston holds a BA in Communications granted by Universidad Anahuac, Mexico City, as well as a MA and Ph.D. in Social Psychology granted by Louis Pasteur University in Strasbourg, France. He was appointed "Officier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres" by the Government of France in 1998.


Sergio A. Fernandez de Cordova

     A member of the UN Foundation's Global Entrepreneurs Council and multiple Global Organizations sitting on boards with Heads of State and other distinguished Global Leaders, Sergio Fernandez de Cordova has made it his mission to bring people together for social change. Sergio is one of the most innovative young leaders of the 21st century.
     By forging the path for Political leaders bringing together Entrepreneurs and Political Leaders and fearlessly launching million dollar ventures, and establishing companies around the world that are pioneering how we communicate in this day and age, Sergio thru the various organizations he represents, they ensure that nothing done in our professional lives happens in a bubble – everything has a purpose and a commitment to make the world a better place.

Andrey Gidaspov

     Andrey Gidaspov is an entrepreneur, international business expert, published author and educator. He is passionate about mobile technology, innovation, creativity and international education. Andrey brings to the G-20Y Summit over fifteen years of experience in international business development, government and education sector consulting in the U.S., Russia, Central Asia, China and South East Asia. Currently, Andrey manages his Virginia-based international business consulting company and advises a variety of international clients on telecom and IT business developments in Eurasia, China and South East Asia. Andrey also manages development and fundraising programs for a large educational non-profit in Washington, D.C., and serves as an adjunct professor of Business Administration at University of Maryland.
     Most recently, Andrey served as Senior Program Manager at The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars where he successfully launched and managed Boeing US-China Bilateral Trade and Ford Motor Global Scholars (UNMDG) internship programs. In 2004-2007 Andrey managed technology business consulting in Hong Kong working closely with major telecom operators and vendors, mobile content providers and developers in Japan, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, India, Indonesia and South Africa.
     In 2007 Andrey published his first book, Riding the Russian Technology Boom russia.futuretext.com, which provides a comprehensive overview of the Russian telecom and IT sectors and helps international companies understand the Eurasian technology market. Andrey regularly contributes to international industry journals on global issues and Eurasia technology developments. He earned his doctorate and bachelor’s degrees at the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Languages. Andrey speaks Russian and Mandarin Chinese and is proficient in a number of Turkic languages.


Emmanuel Prado

     Emmanuel Prado is an investment banker, holding various roles both in Paris and in London. He is now based in Asia.
     Emmanuel hold a Masters Degree in Management and Finance from Paris-Dauphine University, an Advanced Masters in Strategy & Management of International Business from ESSEC Business School. He also studied Business and Tax Law at Sorbonne University. He participated in the G-20Y Summit 2010 in Toronto and joined G-20Y Summit IOC.

Esther Tang

Member of the Business Assembly of the G-20Y Summit IOC

Esther Tang is founder/chairman of an advisory firm to globally-minded Middle East governments and publicly-listed billion-dollar luxury corporations on Chinese foreign policy and the wealthy Chinese consumers. She is also an active co-founder of Promise of a Generation, a non-profit community forum based in Dubai which organized the China-UAE Forum 2010 and is planning Russia-UAE 2011. Esther speaks at universities and communicates in the media, including Zayed University, Howard University, DubaiOne TV, and The National newspaper. Esther holds a bachelors degree from Cornell University, where she served as elected senior class president, class marshal, and member of Quill & Dagger. She holds a masters degree in business administration from the University of Oxford, where she was farewell speaker. Esther expects to receive a masters degree in Chinese law from Peking University in June 2011.


Frank Jin (Jin Jianyun)

After graduation at MBA Far Eastern University Philippines Jin has worked in financial firms and began his own businesses. Jin represents the new generation of young entrepreneurs in China and is ready to contribute to the development of his companies, his country and the whole world. He also plays an important role in some influential social organizations: he is a Chairman of China Finance Organization, Director of Relay China Association. Jin is also engaged in charitable foundations and has helped many poor children complete their education.


Berenice Alcalde

Member of the Business Assembly of the G-20Y Summit IOC

Throughout her career, she worked during 4 years in the Section for Youth, Sport and Physical Education at UNESCO as the main responsible for programs and projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. She was also Director of Youth Programs and chairperson of the Youth Advisory Council of the Foundation for the Support of Youth for over seven years. Berenice has extensive experience in planning, implementing and evaluating social programs and policies, especially in the field of youth. She has being in charge of organizing and coordinating multiple projects, forums and meetings at local, regional and international levels. She has been also responsible for various research projects at the European Center for Resources on Social Enterprises. She is co-founder of several NGOs as Reflacciona, CORAIL among others. She was awarded with the Bernardo Quintana medal for her outstanding leadership in local communities. She holds two Master's degrees: one in Economics and Management of Nonprofit Social Institutions in Spain and another in Social Economy in France. Currently, she is a Ph.D. student at the School of Higher Studies in Social Sciences in Paris.


Tanya Rebolledo Branski

International Monetary Fund and World Bank "Leaders of Tomorrow" Program Fellow

Tanya is the European Representative of Espacio de Vinculacion, A.C. (EVAC) in Paris, France. She has previously worked in different international public, civic and academic organizations, such as Doctors of the World UK, ImPOWER, the LSE Public Policy Group, the Mexican Delegation to the OECD, the Embassy of France in Malaysia, the Competitiveness Department of the Municipality of Puebla-Mexico, Sistema Integral para la Familia (DIF) and the World Trade Organization. In these different roles, she developed policy analysis, institutional research, coordination, client engagement and logistic functions. She holds a Double MSc in International Affairs from the London School of Economics and Sciences Po-Paris, as well as Masters in Public Administration from the Ecole Nationale d'Administration, where she specialized in decentralized cooperation in Mexico and in France. Being a Mexican-Canadian citizen, Tanya is fully fluent in English, French and Spanish, and a beginner in Chinese and German. Tanya is a Fellow of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank "Leaders of Tomorrow" Program.


Polina Timofeeva

G-20Y Summit IOC External Communications Manager

Polina has joined G20Y Summit IOC one year ago. She helped a lot with legal questions in G20Y Summit IOC activity, now she is responsible for communications with G20Y Summits participants. Polina holds bachelors degree in Law from St. Petersburg State University and is receiving masters degree from this University (program “International public law. European law”). She is interested in international law and has participated in some international moot court competitions. Polina works as senior legal assistant in real estate company.


Ayodele Taofiq-Fanida

Ayodele Taofiq-Fanida is the Director for Research and Strategy Development at Impact House International, a front line, youth led, business and social development consultancy firm based in Nigeria. Ayodele has extensive experience in research, strategy development, project planning and management. Trained under the World Bank Institute-British Council Debate to Action Project as a Development Knowledge Facilitator, Ayodele's has had a substantial impact in fostering sustainable global development. Ayodele has been a active figure in the field of international development policy, and is the author of a book on development fund-raising.
